As Seen on 100 Layer Cake | A Bohemian Winter Wedding Editorial
Today's editorial shoot is a master class in wedding photography--both figuratively and literally! The images were taken at Ashley Largesse's Winter Photography Retreat. Ashley is a Vermont-based wedding photographer whose work has been featured in many of the industry's top magazines and websites. This past October, a group of aspiring wedding photographers arrived at Gedney Farm, a quaint inn located in the Berkshires, to attend Ashley's workshop. There they had the opportunity to photograph a professional styled shoot under her mentorship, as well as learn about running a successful wedding photography business.
Gedney Farm's charming barn and surrounding snow-covered grounds provided the backdrop for the editorial. The white snow outside created the perfect contrast to the photoshoot's mix of cozy, rustic, and bohemian details. Inside the barn, an inviting table was set with an organically-textured table runner, softly glowing candles, wooden menus, gilt-edged plates, and lush floral arrangements, all in a muted, earth tone palette. The bridal portraits were photographed amidst oriental rugs and a stunning, large-scale macramé piece by Niroma Studio.
The bride wore a simple white wedding gown with bohemian flair, accented with a low-cut back, spaghetti straps, and delicate eyelet embroidery detailing on its skirt. The gown is available at Everthine Bridal, a Burlington, VT wedding boutique. The Wild Dahlia created a floral crown fashioned from real flowers to match the bride’s bouquet, an organic creation overflowing with luxuriant greenery and white, ivory, and dark purple blooms. The bride's look was completed with delicate jewelry pieces from our line, including a pair of gold ‘Matilda’ stud earrings and a ‘Camellia’ bracelet, both incorporating tiny seed pearls. The bridesmaid also wore a pair of Edera earrings, while the groom looked dapper in a woolen suit and boutonniere. Scroll down to see more from this beautiful editorial.
